2 PM to 3 PM - Opening Keynote: Outdoor Rec, Conservation and the New Media Landscape
Speakers: Matt Mead, Governor, Wyoming, John Hickenlooper, Governor, Colorado, Alyssa Revasio, Founder, Hipcamp
Location: Snow King
Description: Two state governors from across the political aisles will unite to share their common beliefs about conservation, recreation and the environment. The founder of Hipcamp will distill the conversation and explain the blogger’s role in protecting the places we play.

3:30 PM to 4:30 PM - Content Speed Date Icebreaker Event
Location: Snow King
Description: This session will be a structured ice breaker asking questions aimed at breaking that frosty ice! Attendees of both SHIFT and OBS will have the opportunity to network with each other.

Speaker: Kyle Cassidy, Content Marketing Director, Simple

Description: Kyle Cassidy, head of content at Simple.com, talks about how he helped iconic brands conquer their corner of the blogosphere. During this hour long presentation, Kyle will walk you through the conversations you’ll need to have with the right stakeholders to help you create your own new media empire.

2 PM to 3 PM - The Many Ways to Monetize a Blog

Description: You thought CPMs were the best way to monetize a blog? Think again. There are a lot of more complex (read: more fun) ways to monetize a blog and these speakers will talk about it from the blogger’s perspective, as well as the brand’s perspective, and show case studies along the way.

2 PM to 3 PM - 100k Pageviews in a Year

Description: A million pageviews a year is no easy task. Here is the story of how a consistent publishing schedule, a focused social strategy and some passion helped this blog conquer one corner of the blogosphere.

3 PM to 4 PM - Case Competition
Format: Combined Session
Description: Who better to learn from than your peers? In this session, everyone will break up into groups and be presented a digital marketing challenge that involves bloggers, social influencers, athletes and the like. Teams will present their solution and at the end, the winning team gets a prize.

4 PM to 6 PM - Jackson Pub Crawl
Format: Combined Session
Location: Outside!
Description: Everyone pull out your phones! We’re gonna show you how shit goes viral (and we’re gonna do it together). For two hours, bloggers will break up into teams and be assigned HITs (high intelligence tasks) that take place in iconic locations all over town. It’s a pub crawl (drinks on us!) with a mobile marketing learning component. Most importantly, you’ll get outside and get the crash tour of the town Jackson.

Day 3 (Saturday Oct 15, 2016)

8:30 AM to 9:30 AM - Keynote Day 3: The Future of Work
Speaker: Marc Nager
Location: Grand View Ballroom
Description: The biggest labor trend in the 21st century is the move away from W2’s and toward 1099’s. And guess what? Bloggers are making a killing because of it. Marc will share economic data on the future of the Gig Economy and why bloggers are best suited to capitalize on this trend.

10 AM to 11 AM - Live SEO Reviews
Speakers: Yoon Kim, Blogs for Brands, Colin O’Brien, Studio Taraz, Mike Hardaker, Digital Marketing Snow

Description: These three SEOs will tear apart your websites (in a good way) on stage. They’ll advise you on everything you need to know SEO wise from your Title Tags and Meta Descriptions strategy to placement of Canonical Rel Tags on your category pages. If you have SEO questions on your site, this is the session for you!

10 AM to 11 AM - 6 Figures and 250k Instagram Followers in 12 Months

Description: In January of 2015, Ryan Carter started an obscure Instagram handle in his free time, to share his passion of camping with a canine. 12 months later, it turned into a six figure generating blogging machine. This session will teach you the step by step instructions on how to replicate the growth process for your own blog.

Description: DMO’s (Destination Marketing Organizations) need press and you need press trips. How convenient! This session will outline what DMOs look for when vetting bloggers and will offer insight into how pitch or even, how to shape your publication to meet their needs. Bonus tip: DMOs are loaded and if played correctly, there’s money to be made here.

11 AM to 12 PM - Everything You Need to Know to Run Your WordPress Blog
Speaker: Colin Obrien, Develody.io
Location: Cache Creek
Description: Front end designer and developer, Colin Obrien, explores some of the common pitfalls bloggers make with WordPress, how to solve basic coding issues, when to redesign and most importantly, the must-have plugins that every blog needs.

12 PM to 2 PM - Lunch on the Town

2 PM to 3 PM - Content Campfire
Location: Grand View Ballroom
Description: Who better to learn from than your peers? In this session, there will be multiple stations. Each station represents a topic (stations include Facebook strategy, Instagram strategy, SEO, monetization, imagery/legal issues, writing and editing, WordPress, Google Analytics. You’ll gather at rotating stations, campground style, and ask those burning questions to a moderator who will ask the rest of the group for answers.

3 PM to 4 PM - Wrap Up
Location: Grand View Ballroom
Description: If weather permits, we will ride the chair lifts up Snow King Mountain and enjoy a view of the Grand. If the weather is sour, we’ll be inside the Grand View Ballroom. Either way, we’ll review stats of what we accomplished during the scavenger hunt. This is where the winner will be announced and the prizes awarded. Afterwards, everyone is welcome to play around on the ropes course to end the conference!
