From 1994 through 2015 she served as BACKPACKER magazine’s gear editor and authored four books including BACKPACKER’s Complete Guide to Outdoor Gear Maintenance and Repair, Don’t Forget the Duct Tape, Adventure Journal, and Tent and Car Camper’s Handbook. Kristin lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two sons, all of whom love to join in on her adventures whenever possible.

After five years as a dirtbag climber and a ski-patroller, I hugged my mountain family goodbye. I moved to the most densely populated neighborhood on the West Coast and enrolled in the University of Washington’s creative writing program. As I got up from the last coffee date of summer break to drive back to Seattle, my friend stopped me on my way out the door. She told me I should check out this podcast. Three months later, I showed up on the Cahall’s doorstep and talked Fitz into leting me intern for the podcast. That was 2012. I’m still here.

Ryan Carter is orginally from Nashville, Tennesse, and wanted to become and entrepreneur while still being able to spend time with his dog. He started the company Camping With Dogs. Hi goal is “Inspiring the world to go camping with their dogs!,” and his #campingwithdogs Twitter and Instagram have quickly become popular.
The Camping With Dogs company held a “National Camping With Dogs Day” on September 5th to celebrate and appreciate dogs.

An experiment with running barefoot cured the injuries and improved his times. His work has appeared in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Organic Gardening, Food & Wine among others, and he has been featured on CNN, the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and NPR. Matt Mead was sworn in as Wyoming’s 32nd Governor on January 3, 2011. Born in Jackson, Wyoming, Governor Mead was raised on the family ranch in Teton County. The Governor has served as a county and federal prosecutor, practiced in a private firm, and served as United States Attorney for Wyoming from October 2001 to June 2007. Since taking office, he has put a focus on economic growth, a state energy strategy, consolidation of government services, supporting local government and enhancing infrastructure, and creating additional access to high-speed broadband.

Kate Sollitt joined the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board three years ago and as Executive Director and manages all initiatives of the JHTTB including, Marketing, PR, budgets and everything in between. Kate grew up in Jackson Hole and spends all of her free time hiking, trail running, skiing in-bounds and in the backcountry, and trying to keep up with her three almost grown kids.
